Any fat losing tips? I'm gonna start by eating less shit and more veggies annd eating 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones. Reducing carbs is not really an option due to diabetes.

And weight lift! You burn a ton more calories than you realize with it, and it evens out the testosterone loss from running.

Yes, strength training is so important if you want to lose weight quickly. I don't actually do any myself, but that's because I'm looking more to change my lifestyle than lose weight quickly.

I imagine eventually I could start, but that's simply not a priority right now.

I've been trying to focus on portion control. Being vegetarian makes things slightly more complicated, so I rely on a lot of vitamins and supplement shakes. I seriously love Slimfast, not that it has aided me in actually losing weight, but I haven't gained any and it provides a sizable amount of protein. When I eat out with the family, I always ask for a to-go box as soon as I order and put half my food in it, that makes a huge difference.

Oh and I :heart: bentos. I've been bento-ing it up for a few months, not as regularly as I'd like, but I'm doing okay at it. It makes lunch fun, and forces me to really think out the meal since space is so limited.

And of course with the new dog, we are going on walks which makes me far more active than I have been in recent months. I'm not walking him as often as I should, but I'm forcing myself to buckle down and make sure he gets walked once a day for the month of January.

I have a really long break between semesters this year, so I opened up a gym membership, and I've been going regularly (3-4 times a week) and I'm in my 3rd week now. I do a good mix of cardio and lifting, and it feels really good. I'm just trying to change my lifestyle to be much more active than sedentary, and I'm going to try to keep the discipline up when I'm back at school.

I've been super lax on getting in shape. Going out for lunch three days a week at work doesn't help either.

I'm kind of with bcups here. What I need is a lifestyle change more than a diet change. I also need the motivation to do it. Oh well. Ill probably just do what I always do: start for a month then slow back down to a halt within the next few months
